The valuable landscape of the municipality of Murter-Kornati encompasses a rich marine area with many islands and close to 400 km of coastline. The area is remarkable for a number of reasons, but especially for the unique relationship between natural and anthropogenic factors establishing Kornati National Park as a major natural phenomenon on the Adriatic, as well as an example of a perfect harmony between rock, sea and man. The Žut-Sit group of 35 islands is another jewel of the Adriatic that forms an inseparable whole with Kornati islands resulting in the most indented island group in the Mediterranean.
