Kornati excursions

Experience Kornati islands sailing on an excursion boat through a labyrinth of nearly 150 islands, isles and islets, visit the famous Kornati cliffs, the church of Our Lady of Tarac, built over the remains of an early Christian basilica from the 12th century, and the Turet fortress from the 6th century, taste some Kornati delicacies and cool off in the crystal clear sea!

If you decide to visit Kornati on an excursion boat, there is a plethora of options when it comes to the type and capacity of boats. Murter is located 9nm or 15km from Kornati National Park, and is an ideal place from where to start sailing towards the Kornati islands. The boats set sail every day during the high season (July and August), and the journey from Murter to Kornati takes about an hour. In the off-season (May, June, September, October), the offers for excursions are based on groups which can be joined by individual travellers.

The prices, routes, time of departure and return, as well as activities are set out by the excursion organisers, but they mostly offer full day outings departing in the morning (around 9 am) and returning in the afternoon (around 6 pm). In general, these excursions include: sailing to Kornati and through the Kornati archipelago, a lunch break (on the boat or in one of the small restaurants on Kornati), as well as breaks for swimming and sightseeing.
